We are recruiting a Transport Administrator / Operator for our site in Corby. The role reports to the Transport Manager and works closely with the Transport and Warehouse teams to plan, direct, and control transport activities, including those involving sub-contractors, to optimize cost-effectiveness and resource utilization. Main Duties:
1. Fully utilize Rhenus Logistics operating systems and network to benefit the operation.
2. Plan volumes to meet operational and network requirements.
3. Oversee operations to accommodate required volumes.
4. Work with management and the transport team to identify and address service delivery concerns or failures.
5. Understand customer operational requirements and ensure procedures are followed to meet and exceed expectations.
6. Engage with customers as needed to ensure operational satisfaction and performance.
7. Maintain effective communication with management and the transport team to promote a successful operation.
8. Ensure all transport documentation is managed, stored accurately, and complies with legal standards.
9. Assist in vehicle maintenance and service requirements to keep the fleet roadworthy.
10. Address operational concerns within the driver fleet where possible.
11. Maintain knowledge of relevant transport legislation and work in accordance with it.
12. Understand Operating Licence obligations.
13. Perform any other duties required by management to ensure departmental efficiency.
