Ko Taku Reo Deaf Education New Zealand is the national provider of education services to New Zealand’s Deaf and hard of hearing children. We nurture the social and emotional wellbeing of Deaf and hard of hearing learners and support them to Grow, Excel, Choose and Belong.
THE ROLE / TE MAHI
This is a permanent, full-time role that supports our NZSL Services Team based at our Christchurch Campus in Sumner. The role provides administrative support for travel and accommodation, resource delivery, staffing changes and coordination of resources. You will also organise meetings, take minutes and contribute to project work to enhance service delivery. Reporting to the Administration Manager in Christchurch and working closely with a small team, this position is for a Senior Administrator/Executive Assistant with significant experience (minimum four years).
YOU WILL HAVE / KEI A KOE
* Proven experience in a similar senior coordination and administration role, with experience in education an advantage
* Proven experience with minute taking, organizing documents, preparing reports and implementing strong processes
* The ability to remain focused when there is a lot going on around you
* Strong understanding of communicator requirements in a diverse organisation
* Proven ability to liaise and maintain relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Our ideal candidate is proactive, positive and results-oriented, able to deliver a high level of administration support and reporting. You will be solution oriented, flexible and capable of managing multiple demands with a high level of accuracy and well-organised systems and processes.
You will be experienced in developing collaborative relationships with a broad range of people. An affinity with and understanding of Deaf culture and NZSL proficiency would be preferred, as strong communication skills are essential.
