About the team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps equipment performing at its best. We are technically minded, collaborative, and guided by experienced leaders. We maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across Amazon’s global fulfilment network. Some team members are leaders who oversee the work on exciting technology, some of which exists only at Amazon.
From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing general site maintenance and repairing key distribution equipment, our team covers many aspects of Amazon’s technical operations. This includes ensuring buildings are legally compliant for safety and efficiency. There are opportunities for progression within the RME team and across Amazon.
Our work focuses on reducing downtime in Amazon’s operations so customers receive orders on time. We may work during early or late hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption, including night shifts. If we spot a better way to do something, we have the opportunity to develop and introduce new processes or cutting-edge technologies such as Amazon Robotics and the Complex Item Sorter.
