Monday – Thursday 6:30am – 4:45pm.
39hrs a week with the chance for Friday overtime.
Our client specialises in designing, developing, and delivering HVAC solutions worldwide, creating comfortable and safe environments through innovation, integrity, compliance, and a high level of service.
They are looking for Assembly Operative to join their team in Ilminster where full training will be provided.
Brief:
• The ability to work individually or as part of a team.
• Assemble units as part of a line and individually.
• Work with the production supervisory team to ensure targets are achieved.
• Flexibility and adaptable.
• The successful candidate will be expected to work within various areas of the production, spending long periods of their day stood up.
• Inputting of clear & accurate completion of internal Work Orders via companies ERP system
• To work proactively as part of a team and individually to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Safe material handling, including manual pallet truck operation, training will be provided.
• Responsible for cleanliness & tidiness of their work area & immediate area.
• Ensure production schedule is followed out by the Work to Lists.
• Assist where necessary within the Production facility.
Responsibilities
• Read BOMs and Works Instructions.
• Follow the appropriate SOP or method based on requirements.
• Maintain and promote safe working standards with a commitment to your own and others safety.
• Ensure all required data and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner via good SFDC discipline.
• Build all requirements to set standards
• Quality checking units built during a variety of procedures.
• Work with the team to continuously improve the methodology.
• Engage in any CI activities
• Always ensure the safety of yourself and others
Skills and Experience:
• Experience within a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
• Production Experience- able to read drawing, BOMs and assembly.
• Experience in working with hand tools would be advantageous but not essential.
• Forklift license would be beneficial.
• Proficient in English.
• Great attention to detail.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Enthusiastic and happy to learn new skills.
