Job summary
The role of the Site Lead Clinical Auditor provides clinical audit leadership within the GESH group. This includes overseeing clinical audit programmes, managing participation issues, tracking progress, and ensuring SMART action plans are embedded across GESH. The role also supports corporate-level clinical audit projects.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder is responsible for synthesizing multiple sources of information to create a comprehensive view of clinical audit and effectiveness across GESH.
Working with group colleagues to review compliance, benchmarking within the group to minimize variations, and embedding best practices to maintain an overall site picture.
The role promotes and supports local clinical audit projects, providing expertise to designated sites within GESH. Additionally, it involves supporting all clinical effectiveness and audit activities and contributing to the strategic development of clinical audit across GESH.
The post-holder will mentor and support other clinical audit team members to foster collaboration across the group.
They are expected to work independently within established group guidelines.
While based at one location within GESH, the post requires regular travel to other sites.

Job description
Responsibilities include:
* Group Clinical Audit Programmes: Lead creation and oversight of clinical audit programmes across GESH.
* Corporate Level Clinical Audit Projects: Provide oversight and support for these projects.
* Clinical Speciality Support: Serve as the main contact for clinical specialties and audit inquiries at designated sites.
* Clinical Audit Expertise: Facilitate multidisciplinary audit development, initiate and manage projects, develop recommendations, and triangulate data to assess clinical effectiveness across GESH.
* Reporting: Ensure central reporting of audit progress, discuss provisions for audit projects, and provide updates and summaries.
* Establishing and Maintaining Relationships: Collaborate with stakeholders, attend meetings, and influence clinical audit within the clinical governance framework.
* Training Programme: Deliver regular and ad-hoc audit training, designing tools and courses.
* Other Responsibilities: Support other clinical auditors as needed.
