The Governors of this high achieving, oversubscribed Catholic Voluntary Academy seek to appoint a Senior Science Technician to co-ordinate the use of practical resources to meet the needs of the Science Department and maintaining a safe working environment.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance of all resources, chemicals and equipment requirements for the laboratories, preparation room and the science work room.
What are we looking for?
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of people including teachers, support staff and students
* A strong scientific background and experience of multi-tasking, problem solving and implementing and monitoring Health and Safety checks
* A good knowledge of health and safety regulations and working practices
* Someone who has effective and efficient organisational skills, who is able to work as part of a team and use their own initiative
* Experience of multitasking and problem solving
* Good literacy and numeracy is essential
