We are looking for an Internal Customs Manager to join our Road Logistics Customs team. In this role, you will lead a team of specialists responsible for managing export and transit processes, focus on exception management and SLA adherence, and drive continuous improvement to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
* Develop and manage a high‑performing team of exception management specialists, fostering engagement, collaboration, and accountability.
* Identify, analyse, and resolve exceptions, implementing preventive measures through root‑cause analysis.
* Maintain SLA adherence, compliance standards, and efficient day‑to‑day processes.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies to optimise processes and reduce recurring issues.
* Manage escalations and stakeholder communication effectively; provide insights through reporting, tracking, and trend analysis.
Qualifications
* Strong expertise in export and transit processes, customs compliance, and exception management.
* Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and manage team performance.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills with a structured approach to root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
