Responsible for overseeing the centralizedadministration of funds spanning the entire grantmaking process;through the intake review award and follow upstages.
Purpose ofPosition/Summary:
* Thisposition requires working in the office MF for 7.5 hours perday
* The Grant Manager is responsible foroverseeing the centralized administration of funds spanning theentire grantmaking process; through the intake review award andfollow up stages.
* This position will beresponsible for managing and monitoring grants authorized by theIndiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) and ensuring consistentgrant processing.
* The position will managetheir work in a Grants Management database and use it to supportboth grant and youth functions.
* Additionallythe position will provide analytical research and generaladministrative support to the Youth Division to ensure thatprogrammatic objectives are achieved.
EssentialDuties/Responsibilities:
* Serves as the point person to subgrantees and otherorganizations regarding grant management for both federal and statefunded grants.
* Maintains schedules monitorsgrant balances tracks incoming inquiries and proposals providesreports and responds to inquiries as requested.
* Processes payments for new and continuationgrants.
* Analyzes budget and expenditurereports and ensures compliance with reportingrequirements.
* Communicates with granteesregarding contracts reports contract changes andpayments.
* Responds to intraoffice requests forinformation related to grantees grantmaking procedures statutes ofprojects and meetings.
* Update Request for Plan(RFP) for new grant funding cycles as needed.
* Coordinate with the legal team to obtain approval ongrants budgets and contracts.
* MonitorIntelliGrants during the life cycle of sub recipientgrants.
* Review and score grants for the YouthDivision at the close of the Request for Proposals.(RFP).
* Create grant agreement packets for eachgrant utilizing SCM and Docusign.
* Conductsdesk reviews with funded grantees to ensure grants are functioningappropriately and are in alignment with the Indiana CriminalJustice Institute (ICJI) stated policies and the granteesapplication.
* Maintains working knowledge offederal requirements for federal funding and state requirements forstate grant funding.
* Keeps the DivisionDirector abreast of subgrantee status performance goals andevaluations.
* Assists in creating Board ofTrustee (BOT) documents for review at board meetings andsubcommittee meetings.
* Review and approvefiscal and program reports in a timely manner to ensure accuracy ofpayments.
* Attend meetings and trainings asnecessary.
* Complete other duties asassigned.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience incombination with education.
* Collect applicablegrant application and program report information.
* Update Division Director on grant program periods andbalances on a monthly basis.
* Monitor andupdate youth division personnel and sub grantees regarding grantguidelines open solicitations and program updates.
* Develop and guide on how grant funds are to be used forindividual projects.
* Review all submittedapplications and budgets.
* Verify proposedactivities and purchases are appropriate and allowable.
* Monitor grantee program activity to ensure programcompletion and spending.
* Promptly informDivision Director or designee of any concerns/issues that couldpotentially affect funding.
* Provides customerand technical assistance to grantees
* Demonstrates oral and written communication skills todisburse information and provide grant guidance in anunderstandable clear manner.
* Encourages andfacilitates cooperation in a team environment and works well withothers to achieve the divisions goals.
* Responds appropriately to stressful and/or emergencysituations.
PreferredExperience:
* Strongcomputer skills including proficiency with MS Office programsincluding Excel.
* Ability to analyze thinkcritically organize and prioritize.
* Creativityand flexibility in developing approaches and problemsolving.
* Effective verbal and writtencommunication skills; open friendly demeanor and an elevated levelof professionalism to represent the Indiana Criminal JusticeInstitute (ICJI).
* Works well under minimalsupervision by taking initiative ensuring successful projectmanagement and timely completion with ability to maintain qualitywork standard with a high volume of work.
* Takes a positive and flexible approach to tasks and caninitiate work independently.
