What you will be doing:
As Group Quality Systems Manager, you will join our Technical Services Quality Team and become a champion of the Galliford Try quality management system, known as the BMS, and be responsible for the maintenance of processes, policies and documents.
Working within the Technical Services Quality Team you will ensure that the BMS provides our Business Units with the flexibility to ensure continual improvement and performance alongside the business' goals and be able to demonstrate tangible benefit of use.
Modernisation of the BMS is a key objective of the business in order that it can remain agile, current and efficient. The Group Quality Systems Manager will play a pivotal role in the update of the BMS, communication and roll out and adoption by the Business Units.
The Group Quality Systems Manager will work in collaboration with the business process owners to perform regular review, keeping content relevant and ensure that quality staff are up to date with current BMS changes in order that they can convey to the business units.
The Technical Services Quality Team receive regular feedback that may lead to BMS improvements or delivery of BMS training and guidance to users. A key part of this role will be to manage the feedback received and respond to it appropriately.
The Group Quality Systems Manager will be integral in the retention of the business' certification to quality standards and managing the effectiveness of our BMS is key to this.
The Group Quality Systems Manager will be involved in sharing best practice for all activities through actively engaging with the business units operational, quality and other functional teams.
Whilst carrying out your role you will promote the business and overarching company values and build strong and professional working relationships with all key stakeholders across Galliford Try. You will hold your own continual professional development in high regard and keep up to date with statutory requirements relevant to the Construction Industry.
* Aide with the maintenance of the quality management system to ensure a company's facilities, equipment, personnel, methods, processes, and procedures conform to both internal guidelines and regulatory standards.
* Manage and maintain the GT processes, policies and procedures.
* Input to regular reviews to ensure that they are fit for purpose and aligned to our business goals.
* Manage the feedback to the BMS.
* Uphold the Quality standards and policies of the BMS
* Provide training for other quality professionals in the business and provide effective communication of BMS updates.
* Aide in the development and creation of processes and documents in the BMS.
* Establish, communicate and manage a continual improvement ethos across the business.
* Aide with measuring the effectiveness of the business management system against quality outcomes.
* Maintain an awareness of new and proposed legislation that impacts the business and communicating any changes to the relevant stakeholders.
* Satisfy internal customer requirements with the aim of enhancing the customers' perception and satisfaction.
