Qualified Social Worker - Safeguarding

Pay rate: £35 per hour
Are you an experienced and passionate Social Worker looking for career progression? Pertemps Professional Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join a Safeguarding Team in a Lancashire Authority. The ideal candidate will have highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in a Family Safeguarding Team and be registered with Social Work England. Throughout your work, you will uphold and champion best practices.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet identified needs.
You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes of your interventions. Using best practices, you will strive to provide the best outcomes for children. Most importantly, you will have a passion for supporting children and their families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and to be as efficient as possible.
Ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking in approach.
* Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and child protection issues.
* Dedicated to continuous improvement for the best outcomes for children.
* Skilled in mediation and negotiation on behalf of service users.
* Excellent at building meaningful relationships with children and families to engage them in assessments and plans.
* Committed to providing high-quality services.
* Experienced in working within a multi-disciplinary, interagency environment.
* 4+ years qualified.
In this role, you will:
* Perform full assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs.
* Manage an agreed caseload.
* Use specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes for service users.
* Develop individual care plans, considering diversity and promoting dignity and empowerment.
* Offer advice and support to unqualified staff and students for development.
