Overview
Supporting the Head Chef with daily operations in the kitchen and assisting the brigade in recreating meals developed by the Group Executive Chef. You will lead and develop your brigade, train staff, and drive high standards of food quality and health & safety compliance.
Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.
* Support the brigade in recreating meals developed by the Group Executive Chef.
* Lead and train your brigade, developing team members and sharing your expertise.
* Innovate to drive financial performance without compromising quality.
* Monitor portion control, waste, and labour productivity to maintain profit margins.
* Lead and develop your brigade while collaborating closely with the Head Chef.
* Ensure your team delivers high standards of food and complies with health and safety regulations.
* Possess the ability to perform under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment; experience in a hotel environment is beneficial but not essential.
* Understand produce and ingredients and influence profit margins. Create specials that are creative and profitable.
* Be flexible, adaptable, hardworking, and fun.
Qualifications / Profile
* Established Sous Chef or experienced Chef de Partie seeking development with a strong track record of cooking and leadership in fast-paced settings.
* Ability to create and execute specials that balance creativity with profitability.
* Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
