Devices Engineer - Hardware
Location: Coventry, London, or Manchester (flexible base location).
Travel: Requires visits to office locations, suppliers, stores, and depots.

Role Overview:
As a Devices Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving hardware solutions across our stores, depots, and support centers. You will manage these solutions post-implementation, iterating and optimizing them. Experience with delivering hardware solutions and familiarity with iOS, Android, Windows, and SOTI is beneficial.
You should be proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working with various teams and third-party vendors. A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for solving complex problems simply are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
* Drive the platform engineering product roadmap with a deep understanding of technology and broader strategic goals.
* Lead the design and support of services and internal frameworks to enhance capabilities.
* Support team performance through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
* Contribute to optimizing operational and capital expenditure.
Candidate Profile:
* Expertise in engineering practices.
* Knowledge of operating systems including iOS, Android, Windows, or mobile device management solutions like JAMF, SCCM, and SOTI is advantageous.
* Experience with security, cloud, networks, operational tools, and relevant hardware and OS.
* Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement.
* Advocate for agile and lean methodologies.
* Curious about emerging technologies and eager to learn.
* Empathetic and supportive team player.
