Business Development Manager - Field Sales | Water Treatment Sector

Location: OX, RG, SN, HP, MK, LU, GL, NN

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a market leading company in the water treatment industry. With over five decades of expertise, this organisation continues to innovate and grow, supplying high-quality water softening and conditioning solutions across the UK.

About the Role:

You'll be joining a dynamic and expanding field sales team, managing and developing business within a defined territory. Your main focus will be to drive demand for a trusted product range through building relationships with merchants and installers, promoting loyalty, and growing market share.

This role combines strategic sales development with day-to-day relationship management. You'll identify new opportunities, support existing accounts, and deploy targeted sales tactics to outperform competitors and achieve commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

4. Achieve or exceed sales targets and grow the customer base within your region
5. Develop strong relationships with merchants and installers, driving demand through an Accredited Installer Scheme
6. Identify competitor activity and implement strategies to win business
7. Follow up on sales leads and quotations in a timely, professional manner
8. Attend trade events and contribute to the company's market presence
9. Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and provide regular reporting
10. Stay informed on emerging technologies and market trends to support future growth

About You:

11. Proven experience in a field-based B2B sales role, ideally within construction, plumbing, or building products
12. Strong communication and negotiation skills
13. Results-driven with a proactive, self-starting approach
14. Customer-focused, with the ability to build lasting relationships
15. Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM tools
16. Full UK driving license
