JOB SUMMARY & SCOPE:
The RFID Sales Engineer serves as a technical expert and trusted advisor to clients, responsible for driving sales and supporting the integration of RFID solutions across various industries. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong communication and sales skills. An RFID engineer designs, develops, and tests RFID systems, including tags, readers, and associated software, ensuring they function correctly and meet regulatory standards. They also analyze system performance, troubleshooting issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Solution Design and Development:
o Building solutions with RFID tags, readers, and associated software, selecting appropriate technologies and determining optimal system configurations based on customer requirements.
o Analyzing system requirements and customer operations to identify opportunities for RFID integration and optimization within existing infrastructure.
o Staying current with emerging RFID technologies and applications; contributing to the development of new products and solution enhancements.
* Technical Sales and Client Collaboration:
o Collaborating with the sales team to deliver technical presentations, respond to RFPs, and develop customized RFID solutions that meet client needs.
o Acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients, providing ongoing support, product education, and ensuring high customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
* System Implementation and Testing:
o Supporting the installation and deployment of RFID systems, including conducting site surveys, system configuration, and post-installation validation.
o Conducting performance, acceptance, and validation testing to ensure RFID systems function reliably under various conditions.
* Technical Support and Problem Resolution:
o Identifying and resolving technical issues within RFID systems, providing innovative solutions and recommending performance improvements.
* Documentation and Compliance:
o Creating detailed technical documentation, system designs, test reports, and user guides for internal and customer use.
o Ensuring all RFID solutions comply with applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices, including RF safety protocols and data standards.
* Must reside in the US with the ability to travel at least 50%
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
* Proven experience in technical sales, engineering, or related roles. Experience in B2B sales or technology sales is highly desirable.
* Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in understanding complex technical concepts. Ability to translate technical specifications into business value.
