The role: Senior Planner Production at AWE. A proficient Senior Project Planner is needed to support delivery of a range of complex manufacturing projects.
Location
Location: located between Reading and Basingstoke – 100% onsite working is required.
Salary
Starting Salary: £49,830 to £67,000 negotiable depending on experience
Role and Responsibilities
Proficiency with planning software is important and may be assessed as part of the recruitment journey. As a Senior Project Planner, you will work within a project controls team to support a range of diverse projects that include cutting edge technology to ensure the correct capabilities, models, processes, codes essential to deliver our mission.
Responsibilities
 * Lead on and contribute to the creation of project baselines, add value to performance reporting and forecasting, and assess subcontractor schedule submissions.
 * Collaborate with Project Managers and specialists to guide the management and control of project delivery; contribute to project business cases, change control, risk and opportunity processes, and peer reviews.
Qualifications
 * 2-5 years true planning experience; planning proficiency will be tested as part of your recruitment journey.
 * Proficiency with planning tools; knowledge of network logic, float paths, WBS/CBS creation, possibly EVM, resource levelling, monthly update cycle, change control, What-If, fragnets, etc.
 * Experience in highly regulated industries beneficial (nuclear/oil/construction).
 * Strong prioritisation skills and ability to focus on varied and changing priorities.
 * Good IT skills, including Excel (essential).

 * You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The role requires British citizenship and UK residency for the past 5 years for SC clearance, and 10 years for DV.
