Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Secretary to join our clients Employment Law team based in Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced secretary to support fee earners within a busy and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing full secretarial and administrative support to Employment solicitors
* Audio and copy typing of legal documentation, correspondence, and reports
* Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments
* Preparing and formatting legal documents and bundles
* Handling client enquiries in a professional and confidential manner
* Managing incoming and outgoing post, emails, and telephone calls
* Maintaining and updating client files in line with compliance procedures
* Assisting with billing, time recording, and general administrative duties
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary (Employment Law experience preferred)
* Strong audio typing and document formatting skills
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
* Strong communication and client care skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
* Knowledge of case management systems is advantageous
