MRO Mechanical Supervisor – Boeing

Major UK programmes such as Apache, Chinook, C‑17, P‑8A and E‑7 Wedgetail are supported and delivered by Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) Ltd, a subsidiary of The Boeing Company. BDUK employs more than 1,700 people and provides engineering sustainment and support for aircraft in service with the UK armed forces.
The Role
The Mechanical Supervisor will be part of an MRO organisation within BDUK, supporting key programmes. Responsibilities include ensuring process adherence, accurate work recording and contractual/regulatory compliance, and providing direct control, oversight, mentoring and supervision of technicians.
Responsibilities
* Deliver aircraft maintenance under Boeing’s MAA MRP Part 145 approval or under the MOD customer approval.
* Assembly, disassembly and/or modification of systems and aerospace vehicle components.
* Perform routine troubleshooting of complex aircraft systems.
* Be flexible with work locations and times to meet delivery schedules.
* Provide advice, guidance and mentoring to peers and others.
* Exercise appropriate supervision for the role.
* Mitigate immediate risks and take stop‑work actions.
* Contribute to continuous improvement workshops and projects.
* Exercise 100 % oversight of work carried out by apprentices or trainees and provide mentoring.
* Contribute positively to our open and honest reporting culture.
Qualifications / Experience
* Recognised relevant trade apprenticeship or equivalent trade experience.
* Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and processes (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health & safety & COSHH).
* Experience in commercial or defence aviation is considered.
* Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office suite.
* Effective team member within an inclusive working culture.
* Ability to obtain a UK Security Clearance (SC) – UK residency required.
