Overview
To support the busy ward with day to day administration duties. Support nursing staff with day to day queries relating to patients bookings or appointments. To provide a comprehensive administration service and ensure the day to day admissions are actioned in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
* Main duties of the job: Booking of patients to the ward for the admission; Telephone calls and queries that may arise; Queries from the nursing team relating to patients appointments; Filing/scanning of documentation in case notes; Book transport for patients; Any other duties deemed appropriate; Book all patients to the ward in a timely manner and ensure case notes and any documentation is available for the duration of the in-patient stay; Book all discharges for follow up review (where required).

Qualifications
* NVQ level 2/equivalent, Suitable work / life experience, Previous experience in a caring role, Ability to communicate clearly in written & spoken word
* Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues in the Healthcare setting
* Desirable criteria: Basic Computer Skills

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £23 (standard disclosure) or £43 (enhanced disclosure) will be deducted from salary, in monthly installments for up to 3 months following commencement of employment.
