Position: Key Account Manager Contract Type: Permanent – 37.5 hours Location: Ryton Shift: Monday-Friday Join the UK’s premier parcel delivery company What you’ll do: To lead, manage and develop an Account Management portfolio to meet or exceed Account Management targets. To develop and deliver account management plans for each client to deepen the client relationships so as to retain existing business and exploit additional opportunities. This role will also be responsible for ensuring the timely, competent and ultimately successful responses to any RFPs from customers within their portfolio, and to support RFPs for customers outside of their portfolio. To provide accurate and timely performance reporting on all their areas of responsibility against Budget and relevant Forecast periods as determined by the business. Key Role Responsibilities: Provide field-based account management of a corporate client portfolio as assigned. Manage own corporate account management portfolio to meet and exceed base volume and revenue targets. Manage own corporate account management portfolio performance to exceed weekly and monthly client SLAs. To accurately provide MI and reporting of own account management portfolio to reflect actual and forecast weekly and monthly performance against agreed KPI’s. Reacting to market conditions and other influences, develop competitive commercial client propositions. Negotiate client contracts and manage the amendment of pricing through defined processes for authorisation. Lead and or support on completion of RFP’s as required. Ensure that UK Mail requirements of customers are fully complied with; eg forecasting, payment to terms. Drive efficiencies to increase the profitability of own account management portfolio without loss of service. Liaise with operations to resolve customer queries/requirements. Provide or fulfil ad hoc customer management information requests. Provide management process and control to set up and implementation of new accounts process as required. Understand customers’ business requirements and ensure UK Mail products are aligned. Contribute to the product development process. To be fully conversant with all UK Mail commercial tools (RA’s/P&L’s). To ensure that completion of CRM is fully compliant to business standards. Any other ad hoc duties as required.
