Salary: £46,524 with potential to rise to £54,735 over 3 years

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst who will be a key member of the Finance Team. They will provide clear, insightful financial consolidation, forecasting and analysis that enables leaders to understand performance, make confident decisions and drive the organisation’s financial success. You will collaborate frequently with Finance Business Partners, Commercial, Procurement and Operations teams, Executive Team stakeholders and external partners as needed.
Every day you will …
1. Insightful sales & margin analysis: Produce and present rolling monthly sales and margin analysis that highlights drivers, risks and opportunities.
2. Robust forecasting: Coordinate and deliver quarterly sales and margin forecasts, ensuring assumptions are well‑understood, tested and clearly communicated.
3. Strategic decision support: Provide high‑quality financial insight to senior leadership, ensuring decisions are informed by clear, rigorous analysis.
4. Lead financial consolidation: Support the consolidation of monthly financial results for Executive Team review, ensuring accuracy and clarity of performance narratives.
5. Reporting excellence: Ensure all reporting materials are produced to a consistently high standard, shared with stakeholders on time, and clearly present financial insights.
6. Business planning: Play a leading role in supporting the production of the annual revenue and capital business plan, working closely with finance colleagues and functional leaders.
7. Financial improvement initiatives: Lead and support the development and implementation of financial improvement initiatives across the business.
8. Continuous improvement: Contribute to strengthening FP&A processes, tools and workflows to improve forecasting accuracy, insight and efficiency.
9. Functional leadership support: Deputise for the Financial Planning & Reporting Lead as required.
