Nursery Practitioner - Level 3
WN4 Area (Wigan)
Full-time / Ongoing Opportunity / Potential for permanent role
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years provision for children aged 0-3, supporting their learning, development and wellbeing in line with the EYFS framework.
Responsibilities
* Supporting and supervising children during play and learning activities
* Acting as a key person, building positive relationships with children and parents
* Creating a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment
* Monitoring children's development and maintaining accurate records
* Supporting children with personal care and daily routines where required
* Working closely with the nursery SENCo where additional support is needed
* Promoting inclusion, safeguarding, and child wellbeing at all times
* Working collaboratively with the nursery team and external professionals
Requirements
* Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting
* Good understanding of EYFS and child development
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable:
* Paediatric First Aid qualification
* Experience supporting children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
