Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.
KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets across six continents. They offer challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects through diverse business units.
General Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain guidelines, templates, and reference materials, including physical, logical, and conceptual designs, to accelerate the creation of new architectures, including High and Low Level designs.
2. Create and maintain a repository of reusable components from known architectural artifacts, emphasizing IaaS/PaaS services to support hybrid cloud tools and systems.
3. Review vendor-provided architecture and platform requirements to design hybrid cloud architectures and services, enabling the development of HLD and LLDs by system integrators.
4. Support Enterprise Architects in developing and maintaining the architectural roadmap.
5. Provide expert technical advice, guidance, and leadership to internal teams and external partners regarding ICT solutions.
6. Identify, implement, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality procedures, policies, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
7. Design solutions that support information assurance and cybersecurity measures.
8. Maximize the use of existing approved architecture and services in solution designs.
9. Be knowledgeable of Nuclear Sector Data Classification Policies and UK Government legislative controls (e.g., NCSC, ISO).
10. Promote learning from experience within projects and disseminate insights to relevant teams.
11. Pursue personal development and relevant training.
12. Apply company-approved SLPs, working practices, and IT systems proficiently.
13. Perform additional responsibilities as required by the business.
14. Travel as necessary.
Specific Role:
The PPP Solutions Architect collaborates with vendors and system integrators to design solutions that leverage COTS tools on an Azure hybrid cloud platform. The role supports the Enterprise Architects in creating artefacts, roadmaps, and blueprints aligned with the Sellafield Ltd TOGAF framework and IT strategy.
This involves cross-platform integrations with systems across Engineering, Construction, Corporate, Back Office, and Public Cloud domains, considering information standards and classifications within the Nuclear sector. Designs must ensure integration into SIEM, SOC, and IDAM systems.
The architect provides technical guidance to the Sellafield Ltd ISO Architecture Practice and other business units, translating stakeholder requirements into viable ICT solutions. They participate in the Technical Design Authority process, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, compliant, and sustainable throughout their lifecycle.
