Become a Retail Sales Assistant at The Works. This is a mission to inspire people to read, learn, create and play. You’ll greet customers with a warm smile and help them leave happy and excited to unlock their imaginations. You’ll bring passion for our brand and products, helping customers return for more inspiration and creative needs. Some colleagues are BookTok influencers or Instagram creatives, crafting in-store content with our products.
Our culture is supportive, friendly, and inclusive. We value teamwork and a hands-on approach. The role can be physically demanding and involves managing stairs and heavy stock, with a supportive team to help.
Responsibilities
* Greet customers and help them leave inspired and satisfied with their shopping experience.
* Be the heartbeat of the store by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional service.
* Assist with stock management, merchandising, and handling deliveries as needed.
* Support Store Management by opening, closing, and running the store when required (holidays, days off, sickness, etc.).
* Participate in keyholding duties where applicable and receive related pay enhancements when holding keys.
* Provide a safe, inclusive environment and follow company policies and procedures.
Qualifications / Skills
* Genuine and authentic communication; ability to talk to people and recommend products with positivity and creativity.
* Resilience in a fast-paced retail environment; able to juggle busy days and multiple tasks.
* Stock management and merchandising skills; comfortable sorting and pricing deliveries.
* Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate a can-do attitude.
