GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join schools in Waterlooville. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking for flexible work arrangements, whether on a day-to-day, long-term, full-time, or part-time basis.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will be an integral part of the classroom, offering one-to-one and small group support to students with diverse learning needs. You will work alongside teachers and support staff to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

What you have to do as a SEN TA:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
* Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
* Support the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and adapting resources.
* Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Foster students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.
* Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to the teacher and SENCo.
* Support students with personal care and mobility needs, when required.
What we need from an SEN Teaching Assistant:
* A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, education or a similar field.
* Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) or in a similar support role.
* CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A caring, patient, and empathetic attitude.
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one.
