We are looking for a Welding Inspector to join a chemical plant project in Hull. The role is outside IR35 and will require 5 days a week on site.
We are seeking an experienced welding inspector to oversee the quality and safety of our company’s welding activities. Responsibilities include inspecting and assessing the strength and quality of welds, ensuring the correct equipment is used, checking weld specifications, and ensuring safety regulations are followed.
To succeed as a welding inspector, you should have advanced knowledge of modern welding procedures.
Welding Inspector Responsibilities:
* Issuing welding tickets to workers.
* Checking welding specifications.
* Ensuring correct equipment and materials are used.
* Inspecting completed welds.
* Assessing the quality and strength of welds.
* Suggesting alternative welding techniques.
* Demonstrating proper welding procedures.
* Developing new welding techniques.
* Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
* Ensuring welders adhere to health and safety regulations.
Welding Inspector Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* Previous experience as a welding inspector.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
* Good communication skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety practices.
* Strong management and supervision skills.
