The opportunity
As the Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager, you will manage multiple complex Electric Power projects from conception through to completion. This highly collaborative role involves working with project teams across engineering, supply chain, procurement, and commissioning to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard. You will focus on leading project activities related to fiscal reporting, engineering, procurement, purchasing, logistics, quality, EHSS, site technical assistance, and commissioning of Large Electric Power (LEP) solutions projects. You will also drive continuous improvement of project management processes through collaborative relationships within the Power Solutions work group and with customers, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams.
What You Will Do
* Understand the project technical and commercial requirements, local conditions, and statutory requirements.
* Develop project schedule, project costing, and manage document control.
* Collaborate with dealers in managing customer change orders, facilitating the project team in making sound technical and commercial assessments and decisions.
* Develop risk identification and risk mitigation strategies, jointly working with team members and dealers on projects.
* Assist the dealer project team in developing and executing their project execution strategy, tactics, and transactional activities.
* Practice and manage regular communications and reporting with team members, dealers, customers, and management.
* Document and resolve issues using local or regional project resources and working relationships where possible, holding project team members accountable to project success.
* Support the manufacturing facility Quality Engineer and Dealer site team in closing project site punch‑list items.
* Institutionalise process excellence and lessons‑learned disciplines by conducting lessons‑learned meetings with all Functional Area Leaders and responsible dealer after system turnover to end user.
Project Management
* The ability to plan, organise, monitor, and control construction, industrial, and/or infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient utilisation of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
* Experience identifying project risks and vulnerabilities and developing appropriate contingency plans.
* Ability to anticipate and execute project changes while facilitating effective issue resolution and communication of updates.
* Demonstrated ability to own commercial delivery as projects transition from presales into execution.
Managing Multiple Priorities
* Demonstrated experience managing at least 2–3 concurrent projects without reducing productivity and delivery performance.
* Ability to recognise changing demands/priorities and adjust plans accordingly.
Requirements Analysis
* Demonstrable ability to communicate with customers and users to elicit and gather client requirements.
* Experience with contributing to the preparation of detailed documentation and requirements.
Flexibility And Adaptability
* Ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.
* Demonstrated capability to identify and consider alternative approaches to situations or problems.
* Adjusts to new or changing assignments, processes, and people.
Relationship Management
* Proven capability to manage relationships between the Global Account Management (GAM) team, dealer, and end customer to develop and maintain a cohesive project strategy.
* Experience working with clients to address critical issues and resolve complex problems.
* Able to provide prompt and effective responses to client requests and interactions.
Additional Information
* Some travel is required, up to 20% of the time.
