HR Advisor, Carlisle, Full Time, On Site, Up to £35,000 Are you an experienced HR professional ready for your next challenge in the fast-paced retail sector? We’re supporting a well-known business in the retail sector to recruit an HR Advisor to join their small but mighty HR team of 4 professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on variety - supporting managers, handling employee relations, and making a real impact on people processes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring best practice, compliance, and a positive colleague experience across the business. What you’ll be doing: Providing structured advice and guidance to managers on investigations, grievance, and disciplinary matters Leading on change management initiatives (TUPE, redundancy, changes to T&Cs) Collaborating on absence management, supporting return-to-work plans, and working closely with Occupational Health Producing and analysing HR data, spotting trends and offering solutions to senior management Supporting HR projects Delivering monthly absence case reviews with managers and escalating where needed Producing reports, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with employment law and internal policies What we’re looking for: At least 2 years’ experience in a similar HR Advisor role, ideally in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Proven experience managing ER casework and supporting managers with people processes Strong data skills - comfortable producing reports, analysing trends, and identifying solutions Confident collaborating with stakeholders at all levels and influencing positive outcomes Experience supporting change management, including TUPE and redundancy Able to juggle changing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and work with integrity Bonus points for: CIPD Level 3 or above (or working towards) Retail sector or fast moving sector background Benefits on Offer 33 days holiday (including Banks) Option to buy / sell holiday after probation 24/7 Access to an Employee Assistance Program Free on site Parking If you’re passionate about making a difference, building strong relationships, and supporting both the business and its people, we’d love to hear from you.
