Job Description:
As Business Development Lead, you will be expected to conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and demonstrate strong leadership.
Your main focus will be Business Development for the client, as well as supporting the internal team. This includes leading by example, motivating team members, and helping them develop to reach their full potential.
As a Subject Matter Expert in climate change and sustainability, you will take the lead in developing and maximizing the contract and consultancy experience for our clients. You will also serve as Leader and Solution Oversight on client projects, supervising and managing consultants at various levels to ensure client goals are met. Additionally, you will actively seek and pursue business opportunities to support the organization’s growth and strategy.
Responsibilities
Business Development
* Proactively identify opportunities.
* Drive business growth initiatives.
* Lead and participate in writing bids, developing proposals, and responding to tenders.
* Engage with clients, potential clients, and partners.
* Promote the business through social media channels like LinkedIn.
* Develop and present case studies and lessons learned from projects.
* Contact subcontractors and client contacts to identify further opportunities.
* Manage large client accounts, reporting to the Senior Leadership Team.
Internal Responsibilities
* Communicate effectively with senior staff, clients, and stakeholders.
* Support leadership initiatives and business development activities.
* Assist with bids and securing new work.
* Represent the company at conferences, client dinners, events, and exhibitions.
* Manage and supervise technical staff and resources.
* Set strategic direction and oversee implementation.
* Maximize utilization levels of service stream consultants.
* Manage team workload, objectives, and performance.
* Office attendance is occasional, with offices in Bristol and London.
