About The Role
Working in Vehicle Solutions, part of Motability Operations Limited, the UK’s largest vehicle leasing company. Reporting to the Mechanical leads, the principal objective of this role is to perform diagnostics and remove adaptions fitted to specially adapted vehicles. Working on vehicles from a range of manufacturers we have a specialised focus on electrical systems and components. The role requires a thorough understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, to ensure vehicles are in optimal operating condition and meet safety and performance standards, ready to be sold to dealers or via auction. Supporting Vehicle Solutions in its objective to prepare for sale approximately 50K vehicles per year at the Coalville centre.

About You
You will possess proven experience as a vehicle technician with substantial knowledge of automotive mechanical systems and electrical components and be proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for both mechanical and electrical issues. You should be able to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical faults and system malfunctions and have a strong understanding of electric and hybrid vehicles.
Minimum Criteria
* Minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent certification in automotive or similar fields
* Additional certification or training in automotive electrical systems is highly desirable but not essential
* Knowledge of vehicle safety systems (ADAS, EV safety)
* Legally able to drive manual vehicles in the UK
* Experience using diagnostic equipment
