Responsibilities
* Work as an autonomous practitioner in a range of settings, providing high‑quality paediatric occupational therapy to support children and young people with disabilities.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address occupational therapy needs and offer specialist advice to other disciplines.
* Manage a specialist caseload, contributing to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments and multidisciplinary team reviews.
* Apply your expertise in clinical assessment and intervention within paediatrics.
* Utilise your knowledge of child development, neuro‑development, and childhood occupations to design and prioritise effective treatment plans.
* Create comprehensive reports for use by multiple agencies and partake in clinical audits and research.
* Provide support and training to school staff and caregivers, enhancing their ability to implement OT programmes.
* Supervise students or junior support staff, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you must be an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with a valid driving licence.
