Job Description
As Director of Operations, you will report directly to the executive leadership team and take ownership of end‑to‑end operational performance across manufacturing and supply chain functions.
1. Lead manufacturing, production, supply chain, and logistics teams to deliver safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
2. Develop and execute operational strategies aligned to long‑term growth and investment plans
3. Drive throughput, yield improvement, and on‑time delivery in a regulated, high‑mix manufacturing environment
4. Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas
5. Own operational budgets, forecasts, and cost control, driving margin improvement and productivity gains
6. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and other government contracting requirements
7. Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams on new product introduction and customer delivery

The Successful Applicant
8. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline (Master's preferred)
9. Significant senior‑level operations leadership experience within precision manufacturing or high‑technology environments. Optical components and systems manufacturing is highly preferred.
10. Proven background supporting defence, aerospace, or other regulated government‑contracted programs
11. Strong working knowledge of export controls, compliance requirements, and regulated quality systems
12. Hands‑on experience with ERP or MRP systems and data‑driven operational management
13. A collaborative, decisive leader with the gravitas to operate at executive level and develop high‑performing teams
