Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Officer to join a social housing provider on a permanent basis, that supports young people aged 16-25 years.
The main purpose of the role will be to assist them in developing life skills, regain stability and transition into independent living.
Responsibilities of the Housing Support Officer:
1. Developing and maintaining supportive, trusting relationships with young residents, acting as a mentor and guide in their journey towards independent living.
2. Supporting young people in navigating housing applications, securing move-on accommodation, and understanding tenancy rights and responsibilities.
3. Assisting residents to improve life skills such as budgeting, cooking and managing tenancies
4. Developing relationships with external services such as mental health professionals, employment services and social workers, to ensure holistic support for residents.
5. Assisting with day-to-day operations, ensuring accommodation remains a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.
