ADEY, the market leader in the provision of residential water treatment products for closed loop heating and cooling systems in the UK, is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join the team.
Now part of the Genuit Groups’ Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, ADEY has ambitious growth plans.
As Warehouse Operative, you will ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand.
This role operates on a rotating shift pattern, alternating weekly between:
Shift 1:
Monday to Thursday: 05:30 – 13:45
Friday: 05:30 – 12:30
Shift 2:
Monday to Thursday: 14:00 – 23:00
Friday: 13:00 – 17:00
The Role
*
Unloading of vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck, and the checking in of stock
*
Check and report any damaged or missing goods
*
Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves either by hand or using a fork lift truck
*
Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule.
*
Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards
*
Performing warehouse inventory controls via scanner and or through a computer.
*
Stock counting and location checks.
*
Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
*
Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
*
Perform routine maintenance on the forklift truck
*
Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards
*
Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value
*
Cleaning and maintaining of the warehouse
The Person
*
Counterbalance Forklift truck license
*
Experience in a fast-paced target-driven warehouse environment
*
VNA or reach truck license
*
Previous use of Dexterity
*
Awareness of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment; and the ability to work in a safe manner and comply with health and safety policies
*
Certified to operate forklift
*
First aid trained (desirable)
*
Ability to work independently and as a team player
*
Strong communication
*
Mental demands: degree and frequency of concentration, alertness, attention and dealing with frequent interruptions and conflicting demands.

Emotional demands: arise from contact or work with other people (except work colleagues).
*
Physical demands: The role will include bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting so will require a good range of mobility.
