Job Purpose: To work alongside the Underwriters of the North American Catastrophe Treaty Team, assisting in maintaining and building a profitable book. Key Responsibilities: On the North American Cat XOL to build broker relationships and to assist on the underwriting of the Cat XL book. To work with others on specified territories and to learn characteristics of regions and accounts. Involvement in the Indigenous Risk XL book. To travel and market the North American treaty book in support of underwriters. In addition: Running rating models / data manipulation etc. Underwriting analysis of accounts Developing internal rating models Slip check/contract certainty Ad-hoc reports Broker correspondence / liaison Preparation of reports and presentations Meetings with clients and brokers Performance Objectives: To support underwriting within the objectives of the portfolio, and within the specific authorities To build broker relationships To support underwriters in the improvement and enhancement of TMHCC's analytic tools Maintain relevant market knowledge Skills and Experience Specification: Minimum of 5 years in similar role Knowledge and experience assessing risk and client selection Technical Analysis of risks Client Marketing Strong Excel skills Good organisational skills Good communication skills Good negotiation skills A knowledge of slips/wordings Good knowledge of the North American market and ability to work under pressure What We Offer The Tokio Marine HCC Group of Companies offers a competitive salary and employee benefit package.
