About The Role
As a Night Shift Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Everyone who works here understands that our residents are people just like them, with their own stories. Joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
Your responsibilities include planning and providing care that promotes security, dignity, and independence for residents. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll ensure high standards of care and influence your team positively. Your tasks may include demonstrating how to use mobility aids, assisting at end-of-life, or communicating with families, all done with kindness.
Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you'll provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication.
A key duty as Senior Care Assistant is maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent, and be willing to pursue Level 3. You should have experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia. Most importantly, you should have a positive attitude, good record-keeping skills, effective time management, and be considerate and kind in all communications.
