Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will manage and support a caseload supporting women with mental illness. Responsibilities include assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals, Managers Hearings, and supervising junior staff members. As a team manager, you will lead and promote adult safeguarding, empower recovery, and encourage service users to engage in their care plans and achieve their goals.
You will be supported regionally and have access to various training and online courses to support your career development and growth.
As a Lead Social Worker, you will be:
* Supporting the social work team to take the lead on child and adult safeguarding.
* Leading social work in quality assurance meetings.
* Supporting the social work team to deliver safeguarding induction and update training across the hospital.
* Leading multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity issues and best interest decisions.
* Delivering quality supervision and appraisal to junior and senior social workers.
* Liaising with external agencies such as MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, CMHT, FIND, FOLS, Police, and Probation.
* Supporting carers and families of detained patients.
Minimum Requirements:
* A Social Work qualification.
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Good working knowledge of relevant legislation.
* At least 4 years' experience in a similar environment.
Work Location
The Chimneys Clinic, New Rd, Rougham, Bury St Edmunds, IP30 9LR. The clinic is a 12-bed service supporting women with diagnoses of emerging or personality disorders, focusing on recovery and reducing harmful behaviors.
