The Role
We are looking for a talented and dedicated Senior Azure Engineer to join our professional services team here at Ekco, delivering transformational Public Cloud migration and modernisation projects to our customers. We are a multi-disciplinary, agile team of experts covering activities relating to consulting and engineering, closely collaborating with our business colleagues and customers to ensure the best possible service is delivered to our customers.
Day-to-day At Ekco
As a Senior Azure Engineer, you will play a key role in:
Leading the design, planning and implementation of Public Cloud projects for key Ekco clients
Working closely with Solutions Architecture and Project Management team to deliver exceptional projects and solutions
Creating detailed high-level and low-level design and project handover documents to communicate solutions to clients and Ekco's service delivery teams
Contribute to the creation of best practices within the professional services team
Acting as an escalation point for technical issues within the Azure projects team, taking ownership until the issue is resolved to the customers satisfaction
Providing technical mentorship to team members, ensuring that technical documentation is maintained in line with Ekco standards and policies
About You
A strong customer focus, with an ability to continually anticipate and meet customers' needs, excelling in communicating at all levels within a customer organisation
Excellent working knowledge of Azure infrastructure services; Compute, Storage, Networking, Azure Virtual Desktop.
Experience delivering application modernisation projects in Azure; App Services, Container Apps, Azure SQL Database, Function/Logic Apps,
Experience working to ensure customer solutions and services comply with the relevant product standards and internal documentation (in accordance with ISO certification)
A Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a Professional Services role for a Cloud Managed Services provider
The Desirables
Experience architecting production environments across Physical, Virtualised and Cloud technologies
Experience managing or implementing Microsoft 365 services; Entra ID and Conditional Access, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint.
Experience designing and configuring Azure networking solutions; Azure WAN, Azure Firewall, Front Door, Traffic Manager, Express Route
Knowledge of DevOps best practices and CI/CD tools
Demonstrable knowledge of Terraform
Understanding of Service Management best practices frameworks such as ITI
Knowledge of on-premise networking principles and products and how they integrate with cloud services
