Location: Mick George Head Office – Huntingdon
Working Hours: Monday – Friday between 6am-6pm, Saturdays as Required. (Rota Basis)
Pay: To be discussed at Interview, dependent on experience.

Job Overview
Delivering Mick George Concrete products to sites and in doing so, promote the company's image by ensuring that customer service and perception are maintained to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all drivers have the correct PPE issued to them and it is maintained
* Ensure all vehicles are not knowingly overloaded
* Ensure all drivers carry out vehicle checks daily and record all defects in the defect log; report any major defects immediately to the Concrete Director or Plant Supervisor
* Ensure that all drivers complete conveyance notes on all journeys: times on/off site, signatures and names for materials, added water etc
* Ensure that all aspects of the Working Time Directive are followed for the entire fleet
* Keep the truck mixer fleet cleaned and in good working order
* Record all fuel usage and provide receipts to the transport department; ensure correct use of fuel card at all times
* Answer the telephone in a professional and courteous manner, detailing customer requirements accurately and ensuring their needs are met by communicating with all appropriate departments (Sales, Technical, etc.)
* Comply with all aspects of the Quality Assurance Manual, including distribution/control of controlled documents
* Maintain awareness of and comply with the company's health and safety and environmental policies, reporting any perceived or known non‑conformances immediately to the plant supervisor or concrete director
* Communicate regularly with customers, manage expectations, ETA updates, and inform of any delays
* Take and book orders
* Ensure compliance with the broader framework of the following:
o The Health and Safety at Work Act
o Quality Assurance ISO 9001/2000
o EN206
o Restrictive Trade Practices Act
o Discrimination laws
o Any other relevant legislation
o All transport rules and regulations
Qualifications / Experience
* Computer literate & Microsoft Office skills
* Flexibility to get tasks completed as needed with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work under instruction while using own initiative where necessary
* Highly organised with a polite and confident telephone manner
* Previous experience within the construction/aggregates/waste industry would be advantageous but not essential
* Driven and pro‑active individual
