Professional Indemnity Underwriter & Broker - Burgess Hill - ARD973802
We are on the hunt for a talent Professional Indemnity Underwriter & Broker to join our team in Burgess Hill.
Responsibilities:
1. Advising, broking, underwriting and handling of an existing book of business from proposal to binding and any mid-term adjustments.
2. Developing and winning new business.
3. Wholesale and retail broking across the Professional Indemnity account.
4. To arrange and conduct regular broker, client & insurer visits with a view to build and grow the relationships.
5. Issuing policy documents within the binding authorities with accuracy and efficiency.
6. Using extensive product knowledge and ensuring that covers, limits of indemnity & sums insured are adequate for clients’ needs, quoting under binding authorities and liaising with Underwriters to secure best terms in the available market.
7. When transacting business, be conscious of profitability to both the underwriters and the brokerage, and costs of client/broker handling which includes the scheduling of client/broker visits.
8. Claim handling and administration to oversee fair and prompt assessment.
9. Identifying and instigating additional tailored product opportunities.
10. Maintaining service levels and achieving a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
11. Preparing quotations and managing new business, mid-term adjustments and renewals on existing binder operated by broker.
12. Responding to correspondence, telephone calls and emails as required.
13. Updating and maintaining computerised records to a high level of accuracy.
14. Processing, recording and forwarding of relevant documents to and from clients/brokers.
15. Develop and maintain effective and valuable relationships with clients, brokers, insurers and underwriters for the benefit of the company and its clients or brokers.
16. Comply with the administration requirement of any given insurer.
17. Handle any complaints in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
18. Accommodate and deal with new business and any other areas that may need attention in relation to the needs of BCU.
