An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Head Teacher to lead a well?established specialist school for children and young people aged 1019 with ASC/ADHD. With a capacity of 64 students, the school provides a calm, nurturing and structured environment where every learner is supported to grow in confidence, independence and achievement.
Following the planned retirement of the current Principal, we are seeking a visionary, compassionate and strategic leader to guide the school into its next phase of development. About the Role
As Head Teacher, you will provide clear leadership, direction and ambition across the school. You will be responsible for the overall operational, educational and financial performance of the provision, ensuring that high standards, safeguarding and a culture of excellence are consistently maintained.
You will inspire your team, champion the needs of your students and drive continuous improvement, ensuring that every young person receives the highest quality education and support.
What We are Looking For
We welcome applications from leaders who can demonstrate:
* Qualified Teacher Status and further professional qualifications (NPQH/SNLP desirable or willingness to work towards)
* Proven experience as a Head Teacher within a specialist or SEND environment
* Strong understanding of ASC/ADHD, SLD and the needs of neurodiverse learners
* Up?to?date knowledge of DfE guidance and Independent School Standards (ISS)
* Experience in quality assurance, performance management and school improvement
* Outstanding communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
* A passionate, student?centred approach with a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
