– £24,050 - £26,722 per annum (RFJ 4) The role We have an exciting opportunity to join our Specialist Housing team to help provide a social inclusion and support service for our extra care customers. As part of this role, you will carry out regular wellbeing visits to identify suitable opportunities for service users to engage with their local community, whilst liaising with support staff to provide advice and support on suitable activities that will improve independence of our service users. You will be responsible for providing advice and support to our customers in helping signpost them to other external agencies in relation to welfare benefits, debt management and other areas of concern. The ideal candidate The successful applicant will have experience of
understanding of the support needs of older people from diverse backgrounds whilst listen actively, questioning and showing empathy. You will be well organised and able to prioritise, and juggle competing priorities and deliver work to agreed deadlines and standards. You will possess excellent communication skills to be able to provide advice and support for our customers whilst showing empathy, but also having the ability to deal with difficult and demanding situations. Part of this role includes regular travel to other extra-care schemes in Leicester/Leicestershire, so you will need to have the ability to travel to the other schemes.
