Job Title: Technical Author
We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Technical Author to join our finance team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary range of £30,000 to £40,000 per annum.

About the Technical Author Role
Are you an experienced Technical Author seeking a new challenge? Do you thrive in an agile environment and enjoy working collaboratively? We are looking for a Technical Author to contribute to the creation of high-quality product documentation for our software products. Your responsibilities will include producing and maintaining user guides, release notes, and product documentation, working closely with product, development, and support teams to clarify features and functionalities.
This role, within our Service Management department, requires a strong customer focus and excellent communication skills. You will create and review documentation tailored to various audiences, ensuring clarity and quality while meeting deadlines.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Experience in creating and reviewing customer-facing user materials
* Proven experience within a software delivery environment
* Knowledge of agile development methodologies, preferably Scrum and Kanban
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office
* Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, developers, and product owners
* High-quality documentation skills, with attention to language and graphics
* Customer-focused mindset and deadline-oriented
* Willingness to learn and develop professionally
* Awareness of single-sourcing methodologies
Desirable Skills
* Experience with technical authoring tools such as MadCap Flare or Adobe RoboHelp
* Knowledge of version control systems like Git
* Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Experience documenting APIs or working in software development
