Overview
Responsible for leading the development and execution of email and nurture programmes that support lead generation, prospect engagement and client retention (including up/cross sales). This role manages Salesforce Account Engagement (SFAE), including lead scoring, and works closely with internal stakeholders to deliver automated journeys, targeted campaigns, and performance reporting. The role also supports broader digital marketing initiatives including reporting, analytics, web content, social media, and campaign execution as needed.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of email and nurture programmes and campaigns using Salesforce Account Engagement (SFAE)
* Own the segmentation, design, testing, and deployment of email journeys aligned to business goals
* Manage and optimise lead scoring models within SFAE to support sales and marketing alignment
* Collaborate with the GCCO (Group Chief Commercial Officer) to ensure accurate targeting and lead qualification
* Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights to improve engagement and conversion
* Maintain and enhance marketing automation workflows and nurture journeys
* Contribute to strategic planning for digital marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives
* Support the digital team and external agencies with reporting and analytics across digital channels
* Collaborate with the wider digital and marketing team to support website content updates, social media scheduling, and campaign execution as required
* Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external agencies to develop compelling messaging and creative assets, including optimising email creative/templates/messaging hierarchies
* Manage relationships with third‑party agencies, ensuring delivery to time, quality, and budget
* Ensure all marketing activity adheres to brand guidelines, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements
* Share knowledge and contribute to upskilling across the marketing team
* Carry out any other relevant duties within the remit of the role and as reasonably directed by management
Technical / Qualifications
* Proven experience in lead generation and nurture programmes – both strategy and execution
* Depth of experience in email marketing and marketing automation, ideally using Salesforce Account Engagement (SFAE) and CRM platforms and analytics platforms (e.g. Google analytics)
* Proven ability to build and optimise lead nurture journeys and lead scoring models
* Experience in selecting, integrating and using martech tools
* Strong project and campaign management skills and experience; ability to manage and deliver marketing projects with multiple stakeholders; strong stakeholder management skills
* Experience in campaign performance analysis and reporting, with a data‑led mindset
* Familiar with digital marketing channels including web, social, and paid media
* Ability to collaborate across a multi‑functional digital and marketing team and contribute to shared initiatives
* Experience working with creative and media agencies to deliver high‑quality marketing outputs
* Skilled in developing messaging frameworks and turning them into campaign‑ready assets
* Preferred, formal marketing and/or digital marketing professional/academic qualification.
Systems / Internal Processes
* Highly proficient in Salesforce Account Engagement/Pardot ideally (or very similar)
* Experience with email distribution systems
* Familiarity with open‑source CMS platforms (e.g. Umbraco), social media management tools (e.g. Oktopost), analytics platforms (e.g. GA4, SEMRush), workflow management tools (e.g. Monday.com) and reporting tools (PowerBI)
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
