Associate - Commercial Litigation
* Annual Salary: Competitive DOE
* Location: Bristol, UK
* Job Type: Hybrid (Full-time/Part-time)
Join our client during a period of exciting change and growth as they expand their Commercial Litigation team within the Complex Litigation function. This role is ideal for an experienced litigator with extensive knowledge in court litigation, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution. You will manage an autonomous caseload and collaborate with senior team members to deliver exceptional service standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage a complex caseload of commercial claims, ensuring efficient and commercial resolutions through courts, mediation, or ADR techniques.
* Work closely with Principal Associates to meet SLA’s, KPI’s, and financial targets, driving efficiency and performance within the team.
* Conduct early assessments of claims to determine success prospects, managing each claim in line with legal expenses insurance policy requirements.
* Maintain cost-effectiveness in case management and foster a culture of efficient case handling focused on excellent customer outcomes.
* Handle customer care diligently, investigating and responding to complaints or escalating them appropriately.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven expertise in handling a caseload of consumer and/or commercial contract litigation.
* Excellent technical knowledge of legal claims, case management, CPR, and cost considerations.
* Strong understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct and applicable pre-action protocols.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple commitments, and make sound commercial decisions.
* Proactive in managing your own caseload to a very high standard.
