The Role
1. Manage a portfolio of key potential clients, developing relationships and booking appointments for the Business Development Director.
2. Proactively support customer retention by effectively dealing with client opportunities.
3. Develop relationships and personal contacts within the company to deliver exceptional customer service, support the Sales team, and accurately manage the CRM system.
4. Demonstrate a positive "can-do" attitude at all times.
5. Help deliver the budgeted new revenue for your area at the correct profit, volume, and product mix in line with targets set.
6. Introduce new streams of business to benefit customers and the company alike, working closely with operational colleagues to reduce the cost of servicing customers.
7. Accurately forecast volume and revenue to manage accounts most efficiently.
8. Monitor competitor activity and threats.

* Able to demonstrate success in revenue growth through telephone account development.
* Telesales or appointment-making for key opportunities.
* Tenacious and driven individual.
* Ability to be flexible in approach and style depending on the customer.
* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
* A determination to achieve with minimum supervision.
* Understanding of commercial impact.
* Knowledge of sales pipelines and products.
* Numerate and IT literate.
* A cheerful and enthusiastic individual with a "can-do" attitude.
* A methodical, detailed, and disciplined approach; good communication skills are essential. You must also be able to remain focused and have excellent time management skills.
