The Opportunity
An opportunity is available for an experienced BIM Coordinator to support a major nuclear project. This is a key role in ensuring the successful implementation and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across a highly complex and regulated environment.
The Role
As BIM coordinator, you will support the digital strategy for design and construction, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. You will work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and supply chain partners to drive innovation, efficiency, and collaboration through BIM technologies.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEP) in line with project requirements and ISO 19650 standards.
* Manage and maintain the Common Data Environment (CDE) for all project information.
* Coordinate BIM workflows between design, engineering, and construction teams.
* Ensure accurate data integration and model validation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Provide training, guidance, and support to internal teams and supply chain partners on BIM processes and tools.
* Monitor compliance with BIM protocols and deliver regular progress reports to senior management.
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation in digital construction methodologies.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or similar role within large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650) and digital construction best practices.
* Proficiency in BIM software platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Bentley, or similar).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative environment.
* Experience within nuclear, energy, or highly regulated sectors is advantageous.
Setting
This is office based but you may visit the Nuclear site if required where a full site induction will be required. All candidates must have full working rights to work in the UK and be willing & able to attain the required security clearance.
