We’re supporting a well-established manufacturing business in the Grantham/Leicestershire borders with the hire of an Operations Accountant to strengthen their finance function during an exciting period of change and improvement. This is a hands-on, commercially minded role with a clear operational focus — ideal for someone who enjoys getting close to the numbers on the shop floor, improving reporting, and supporting better decision-making across the business. The role You’ll take ownership of key operational finance activity, including: Producing and improving costing / margin reporting for manufacturing operations Supporting month-end activities (accruals, prepayments, journals, reconciliations) Variance analysis, insight, and recommendations for operational stakeholders Contributing to process improvements and finance controls Working heavily with Excel (including analysis and reporting)What we’re looking for Experience in an operations / cost / management accounting role (manufacturing environment preferred) Strong Excel skills (there may be a practical skills test during interview) Exposure to an ERP system — Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is beneficial Part-qualified, QBE, or qualified applicants all considered (the brief is experience-led).
