At MBDA, we are growing our Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) capabilities; consequently, the EW Group is recruiting an EW Systems Engineer who will be a key part of the team developing current and future EW Weapon Systems.
Salary: Up to £55,000, depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working pattern: We trust our people to agree, within their teams, where and when they can be most effective. Our Dynamic Working policy offers flexibility around working hours and location. Typically, due to the nature of the work, this role requires a minimum of 3 days per week on-site.
Security Clearance: MBDA UK Limited requires all employees to obtain the necessary medical and national security clearances. This role requires the applicant to be a British Citizen, or a Dual UK national with British citizenship, and capable of achieving DV clearance (managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team).

The opportunity:
The EW Group supports activities on weapon system and missile programmes, focusing on weapon system design, verification, integration, RF system design, threat analysis, and modelling & simulation related to EW capabilities and performance.
We are recruiting an EW Systems Engineer responsible for ensuring the EW aspects of a Weapon System are fit for purpose, within timescales and budget. This role involves collaboration with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders, serving as the EW requirements authority and system design lead for parts of a Weapon System.
What we're looking for:
* A strong understanding of systems engineering methods, tools, and processes.
* Experience in Weapon System design and validation, or complex system product development.
* Experience across the full engineering lifecycle and systems integration.
* Knowledge of Electromagnetic Countermeasures and Support/Surveillance systems.
* A proven record of delivery.
* Experience in capability assessments and road-mapping.
* Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
* Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
* Willingness to obtain or hold DV clearance.
