Environmental Manager – Crawley, UK
Geosciences division within RSK Group Ltd, one of the UK’s largest environmental consultancies, is looking for an Environmental Manager to join our growing team.
Working alongside an experienced team, you will be involved in a vast array of development projects. This hybrid role requires you to work from the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
* Produce environmental management plans, including Pollution Prevention and Surface Water Management Plans for construction sites.
* Audit construction sites for compliance with Surface Water Management Plans.
* Advise clients on meeting UK regulatory requirements for Surface Water Management and associated waste permits/exemptions.
* Liaise with regulators including the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales.
* Respond to and manage environmental incidents such as fuel/oil spillage, silt discharges, and effluent discharges.
* Provide on‑site training to clients on issues including ecology, contamination and waste management.
* Produce quotations/tenders for new projects.
* Manage clients and projects.
Person Specification
* 2–10 years of experience in the environmental sector.
* Ability to deliver projects and work within a multi‑disciplinary consultancy.
* Confidence in working closely with clients and regulators.
* Track record of managing time, resources, and budget effectively.
* Full UK driving licence.
