Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) – Budweiser Brewing Group (AB InBev)
Location: Magor, South Wales
Salary: £51,625.42 per annum
Shift Pattern: 2 x 12‑hour day shifts (07:00–19:00) and 2 x 12‑hour night shifts (19:00–07:00), followed by 4 days off.

The Role
The role involves performing planned and reactive maintenance on the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) to ensure the plant operates efficiently, safely, and cost‑effectively. The ASRS Engineer focuses on improving the system’s mechanical and electrical reliability and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Safety & Compliance – Work safely, follow all policies and procedures, and ensure all safety systems function correctly.
* Maintenance & Repairs – Perform planned preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs to minimise downtime.
* Continuous Improvement – Identify and implement CI opportunities; support process and equipment improvements.
* Documentation & Procedures – Develop and update SOPs, safety procedures, and learning materials; record all activities in SAP.
* Performance & Reliability – Analyse equipment performance, optimise machine reliability, and identify critical spares.
* Collaboration & Communication – Liaise with suppliers, clients, and other departments; share best practices across shifts.
* Project & Quality Work – Participate in project activities, carry out quality inspections, and support site standards (5S, PDCA, hygiene).
* Resource Management – Manage maintenance tools, spares, and costs effectively.
* Special Conditions – Occasionally work at height, in confined spaces, or alone.
Who We’re Looking For
* Qualifications: Engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent in electrical) with mechanical (NVQ 3/equivalent or experience).
* Experience: FMCG or logistics environments; FLT licence desirable.
* Technical Skills: Strong in fault‑finding, maintenance, and multidisciplinary engineering; good understanding of manufacturing principles, LEAN, CI, HACCP, and food safety.
* Safety & Standards: Commitment to health, safety, hygiene, 5S, and sustainability standards.
* Personal Attributes: Proactive, self‑motivated, organised, and able to work independently or in a team.
* Communication & IT: Strong numeracy, literacy, IT, and communication skills; confident working with contractors and supporting compliance systems (e.g., VPO).
* Work Approach: Quality‑focused, systematic, and able to make sound decisions under pressure and meet deadlines.
